Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo and striving to be best-in-class.The JPMorgan Wealth Management (JPMWM) Market Risk Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust Market Risk program for the JPMWM brokerage platform. The ideal candidate will be a highly-motivated professional with excellent process improvement and communication skills. The candidate will be detail-oriented and results focused, and will have a proven record of problem solving and collaborating with others, including direct and indirect leadership positions. You will be focused on the delivery of measurable results and credible challenge on specialty and complex investment products.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the necessary markets and trading risk framework and standards so that aggregate risks within JPMWM are effectively identified, measured, monitored and controlled consistent with the JPMWM's risk appetite.
- Work alongside the business and Firmwide Market Risk to oversee market risk exposure by identifying, measuring, and monitoring market risk across the JPMWM book, making recommendations, evaluating exposure, and escalating market transactions to manage and/or offset the market risk, including liquidity, counterparty, and ESG/Sustainability risks.
- Partner with AWM Risk to develop, enhance, and perform testing and/or monitoring which focus upon macroeconomic, geographic, market and political scenarios that impact sensitivity to market risk events, including involvement in stress testing of the investment book.
- Monitor the JPMWM counterparty exposure to market risk by measuring the impact of the frequent and severe risk events, including participating in back-testing models and strategy.
- Ensure that JPMWM risks are appropriately included in regulatory and management reporting of market risk, such as Material Risk Inventory.
- Support the configuration of appropriate measures to evaluate sensitivity to and/or risk of loss due to factors affecting financial and commodity market prices or systematic risk which cannot be mitigated by diversification or hedging by client product and channel.
- Build and establish relationships to evaluate the impact of firmwide Market Risk and represent Risk in various governance forums and new business initiatives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience and strong working knowledge of SEC, FINRA, MSRB rules and their applicability to a wealth management business and/or retail brokerage business with specific knowledge of Market Risk.
- Experience with or deep knowledge of brokerage platforms, including self-directed investing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (e.g., effectively communicate key messages and challenges, where appropriate, and simplify complex business risk situations) and ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills with ability to synthesize and integrate varied data sets.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize work, meet tight deadlines, and function well in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and interact comfortably with a wide spectrum of internal stakeholders.
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills
